The General Father Visits the Pjeter Meshkalla Institute
On Friday, May 17th, the students and teachers of the Pjeter Meshkalla Institute warmly welcomed Father General Arturo Sosa. His visit was a historic event for the school, second only to the meeting with Father General Kolvenbach in 1994.
The arrival of the General Father provided a unique opportunity to share the reality of the Albanian Institute and to receive valuable advice and inspiration. After the warm reception, the teachers and students accompanied Father Arturo Sosa on a tour of the school.
During the meeting with the Board of Directors, the school leaders presented the socio-economic reality in which the Institute operates. This exchange allowed for an illustration of the challenges and opportunities the School faces daily, receiving valuable suggestions in return.
The boys and girls of the Youth Eucharistic Movement (YEM) then invited the General Father to participate in a heartfelt sharing moment, during which the young people had the opportunity to share their personal experiences and listen to the advice and words of Father Arturo Sosa.
The visit concluded with a meeting with the educational staff, parents, and former students of the Institute, who actively participated with questions and reflections on crucial issues such as inclusion, emigration, and the importance of educating young people in the values of justice, peace, and solidarity.
We are grateful that an Institute from our Network had the honor of meeting the General Father, an occasion that allowed everyone to strengthen their sense of belonging to the school and the Network, with a commitment to continue the educational mission with determination.
