The changes in the Italian social, economic and demographic context lead families to seek out school facilities that can guarantee complete educational courses of study, which are not only concerned with the knowledge of didactic subjects, but also with socialisation and personal growth.

It is undeniable that the cycles of study promoted by our schools may not be accessible to the less affluent sections of the population or those who find themselves in precarious situations. These difficulties lead parents to make forced choices on their children’s study paths, painful choices that impact on the children themselves – because they are excluded from an education of excellence – and on the community of the future, which is deprived today of guaranteeing an avant-garde educational path for the leaders of tomorrow.

With the spirit of inclusion and sharing at the basis of Ignatian education, over the years the Jesuit Education Foundation and the individual institutes have identified ways of widening the possibilities of access to study for the widest possible community of students and families, also activating the possibility for private individuals and companies to contribute in an active way to guarantee access to study for all. Similarly, the focus on the student and the social context that surrounds him or her has led the Foundation to seek study support tools for those who show learning difficulties from the earliest years of school.
