The 14th edition of the “Diamoci un Tono” competition is back: find out how to participate!

The musical competition “Diamoci un Tono“, organized by Fondazione Gesuiti Educazione and hosted by Istituto Sociale di Torino, returns for its 14th edition! Each year, the Institute offers students across the entire Network the opportunity to express their musical creativity and showcase their talent. 

Who can participate? 
The competition is open to all students within the Network, from primary schools to high schools. 

How to enter the competition? 
Participants must record a video of their performance and submit it to their School’s representative. The video will then be uploaded to YouTube and sent via email to diamociuntono@istitutosociale.it by April 2nd, 2025. 

Both solo performers and musical groups can participate, and submissions may include original songs or cover versions, with no restrictions on musical genre. The only requirement is that the video must not exceed 3 minutes and 30 seconds in total length! 

There are six categories, divided by age group: 
Primary Schools – Songs 
Primary Schools – Instrumental Pieces 
Lower Secondary Schools – Songs 
Lower Secondary Schools – Instrumental Pieces 
Upper Secondary Schools – Songs 
Upper Secondary Schools – Instrumental Pieces 

The “Songs” category includes vocal performances with a backing track or live instruments, while “Instrumental Pieces” are performances without the use of vocals. 

Finalists will perform live in Turin on May 9th, and the final event will also be streamed live on YouTube. If music is your passion, don’t miss the chance to challenge yourself and showcase your talent!
