Right to life: demographic growth for solid and integral development

Below we report the words of the students from the PCTO Team of the Laudato Si’ Competition at the Massimo Institute, who, under the supervision of Professors Valeria Manca, Elena Maietich, and Francesco Proietti, the creators of the Competition, are collaborating on the project.

With great enthusiasm, all of us students are experiencing the VI Edition of the Laudato SiCompetition promoted by the Massimo Institute since 2018. It is an unmissable opportunity for us to explore fundamental themes shaping our world.
This year’s theme is “Right to Life,” a concept that recalls the sacred value of every human being and emphasizes the essential need to protect and promote life in all its manifestations.
An important novelty of this edition is the junior section designed for classmates in the third grades of Lower Secondary School. We hope they seize this opportunity to reflect on important topics through the technological medium and the production of a short video.
Over the years, the Competition has developed a deep bond with other educational institutions, even beyond Italy, opening doors to new perspectives and stimulating a broader awareness of global challenges. We hope that this edition will also see the widespread participation of Colleges in the Euro-Mediterranean Network of the Jesuit Education Foundation.
Here at the Massimo Institute, throughout the school year, we welcome experts and professionals who lead reflections and in-depth discussions on the theme, enriching our understanding to express ideas through the creation of videos or radio spots, powerful communication tools.
We hope that each participant grasps the importance of the proposed theme and understands through the production work of videos and audios how to contribute to preserving and promoting this right in our society and in the world we live in.
Together, through meaningful dialogue and commitment, we can build a better future. On Tuesday, February 20, two students from our PCTO Team, Niccolò Gismondi and Marco Reggiani, had the pleasure, along with Prof. Proietti, of being interviewed by the radio magazine Inblu2000. Another training experience but also a lot of fun.

We look forward to seeing you in Rome on May 17th for the final.
