Digital technology is helping to make teaching more accessible, especially for all those students with Specific Learning Disorders (SAD) and Special Educational Needs (BES). The Cogmed Project, developed in cooperation with the Leonardo Centre in Genoa, has been implemented in the Jesuit Network schools to improve the working memory of all students and enhance the quality of their school and private life.
Launched on an experimental basis in 2021 at the Social Institute of Turin, Cogmed is now being adopted in all the other schools of the Network. The programme involves short sessions in which students participate in a video game that stimulates short-term memory through a task-reward principle, improving attention and organisation.
Not only do students with learning difficulties benefit, but all pupils reports a 30% increase in working memory and increased attention in school. Thanks to Cogmed, teachers can support students more effectively by adapting teaching to their specific needs.
With Project Cogmed you can help students on their educational journey: support the initiative now.
Thank you for your contribution.
